In his first qualification for Mahindra, Lucas di Grassi managed to take pole position in Mexico. Our compatriot Stoffel Vandoorne qualified fourteenth.
The new Formula E season starts in Mexico and it is our compatriot Stoffel Vandoorne who will have to try and defend his world title. Given the departure of Mercedes, Vandoorne will race for DS Penske from this season.
So a new team and with Jean-Eric Vergne also a new teammate. However, both were killed early in qualifying, resulting in Vergne’s 11th place on the grid and Stoffel Vandoorne 14th on the grid. A difficult task awaits both gentlemen at the Autdromo Hermanos Rodrguez during the race.
Lucas di Grassi, however, would have been much more satisfied. After all, during the qualifying final, Lucas di Grassi won in a head-to-head battle against Jake Dennis.
