Last year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo mentioned that the Apple iPhone 17 Pro, set to be released in 2025, could possibly feature a resin-coated copper (RCC) main board. Now, Digitimes citing its supply chain sources, claims that at least one of the next-generation Apple Watch models may also incorporate an RCC material motherboard.
The RCC material utilises a thin film of copper coated with resin, resulting in a thinner overall design of the motherboard. This advancement should provide more space for other components in the watch, including a potentially larger battery.

Considering that the Apple Watch X is anticipated to undergo a design revamp, it is plausible for Apple to employ an RCC motherboard for the Watch X. Nevertheless, the exact release year, whether it be in 2024 or 2025, is yet to be confirmed.
