After the British GP, Mick Schumacher, along with a few other fellow F1 drivers, stayed at the Silverstone circuit to test the Pirelli tires for the 2022 season. However, the 22-year-old Schumacher also had a special moment because he was allowed to driving the Jordan 191 F1 car in which his father made his F1 debut.

According to many fans, the Jordan 191 is one of the most beautiful F1 cars ever. What makes the car extra special, however, is that seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher made his F1 debut with it in 1991 at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit.

During the lunch break of the Pirelli tire test, the Sky Sports F1 team was given the Silverstone circuit to film a special about Michael Schumacher’s F1 debut 30 years ago. In addition, Mick Schumacher was allowed to take a seat in the Jordan 191 with which his father had to fill in unexpectedly in 1991 during the Belgian GP and made his debut in Formula 1.

The special will be broadcast on August 29 during the Belgian GP race weekend.
