Oppo’s fast-paced Reno series is set for another refresh soon, with an expected announcement in June. There will be at least a Reno12 and Reno12 Pro, and the specifications of the former have been leaked by the usually reliable Weibo poster from Digital chat station.
According to the leak, the current Reno12 prototype in development is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200 chipset, paired with a substantial 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The phone will reportedly feature a 50 MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP f/2.0 “portrait telephoto” camera with 2x optical zoom. The Reno12 will also have a 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC fast wired charging.
Main highlights of the Reno12 are expected to be its thin and light design and the curved screen with “1.5K” resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, as per previous leaks. The Reno12 is also anticipated to be IP65 certified for dust and water resistance.
