Netmarble’s Solo Leveling: Arise Global launch has arrived for Android, iOS, and PC today. Based on the popular webtoon, the game lets players suit up as the hero Sung Jinwoo.
As monsters have taken over the planet, hunters are a mighty warrior class standing between humanity and them. Starting as a lowest-rank hunter, Jinwoo inadvertently discovers a secret route to great power in his quest to become the best hunter in the world. Despite the odds, he gains a mysterious power that allows him to train and grow stronger on his own.
What’s the Gameplay like?
There are two main types of stages in the game: those focused on Sung Jin-Woo and those that highlight other characters.
Dungeon completion and defeating enemies are the main gameplay elements. Stronger foes and increasingly difficult dungeons will appear as you progress. Additionally, each character possesses special abilities that you can develop and unlock. Master these abilities to create devastating combos to overpower your opponents.
In this real-time game, you must strategize by understanding the patterns of opponents, utilizing character advantages, and making the most of your surroundings. The game also includes a character advancement system where you earn experience by fighting foes and completing dungeons.
As you level up, upgrades to Sung Jinwoo’s stats and abilities become available. Gathering new gear can also strengthen him. Choose weapons that align with your strategy as they can alter your character’s playstyle.
Young-sig Kwon, CEO of Netmarble, expressed, “We are thrilled to finally release Solo Levelling: Arise to everyone, as there has been immense worldwide anticipation. We believe fans will appreciate the unique experience our talented developers have created. We are excited for the community to embark on Sung Jinwoo’s tale as they progress through the Hunter levels.”
Netmarble is hosting in-game celebrations for the launch, including a 7-Day Gift Check-In, a Rate Up Draw Event featuring Cha Hae-In (The Radiant Battlefield Dancer), and a ‘pick the best dancer’ event offering various prizes.
What’s New?
The Solo Leveling: Arise Global launch introduces new content, including a few side tales and Chapter 16 of the Main Story. The Rate Up Draw introduces a new character named Cha Hae-In. Players can now purchase new outfits for Sung Jinwoo and other Hunters. Additionally, you can select Hunters to advance through the story in a new “Reverse Mode.” New Hunters and stories have been added to the Hunter Archive.
Moreover, Sung Jinwoo’s maximum level is now 80, and the weapons and abilities of Sung Jinwoo and other Hunters have been balanced. The rewards of the Power of Destruction have been enhanced, and its difficulty level decreased. Some missions and challenge rewards have been modified.
The Exchange Shop purchasing limit for specific items has been increased, and new items such as Special Summons and a Hunter Association Premium Subscription have been added.
