The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 comes with the Mix Flip, which is the company’s first flip-style foldable. The Mix Fold 4’s specs were leaked back in March, and the Mix Flip has already been certified in China with support for satellite connectivity.
Today, some new details for both devices have been revealed, courtesy of the prolific self-proclaimed leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo. According to him, the Mix Fold 4 will be the new record holder for the thinnest foldable smartphone, surpassing the Honor Magic V2. Both Xiaomi foldable devices will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and will feature the same 50 MP 1/1.55” main camera with OIS.

Both devices will also include a 60 MP Omnivision OV60A 2x telephoto camera with a 1/2.8″ size and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera. The Mix Fold 4 will have an additional fourth camera: a 10 MP periscope telephoto with 5x zoom. Furthermore, the Mix Fold 4 will have an IP rating for the first time in the series and support for wireless charging.
According to the same source, the Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip are expected to be released in the third quarter of this year, between July and September. Depending on the exact timing of their release within the quarter, it may coincide closely with the debut of the Xiaomi 15 featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC in mid-October.
Unfortunately, it is likely that both the Mix Fold 4 and the Mix Flip will remain limited to China and may not officially launch internationally.
