The renowned insider Evan Blass (Evleaks) has unveiled promotional materials showcasing the design and key features of the upcoming flagship smartphone, Sony Xperia 1 VI. According to the leaked images, the device will sport a traditional design typical of Sony smartphones but will come with a notable change.
The leaked images suggest that the display aspect ratio of the Xperia 1 VI will be 19.5:9, a departure from Sony’s previous 21:9 aspect ratio. Additionally, the smartphone will boast a triple-camera setup with different focal lengths for each module – 16mm for the ultra-wide-angle lens, 24mm for the main lens, and 85mm for the telephoto lens offering 3.5x zoom capability. These camera sensors are said to be Sony’s branded Exmor T sensors.
In terms of audio features, the Xperia 1 VI is expected to include a 3.5mm headphone jack, support for LDAC, DSEE, Hi-Res audio (both wired and wireless), and 360-degree spatial audio technology. While detailed specifications about the processor are not yet available, the smartphone will come equipped with an evaporation chamber for enhanced cooling. It is also rumored to pack a large 5000mAh battery with support for wireless charging and reverse charging to provide extended battery life.
The official unveiling of the Sony Xperia 1 VI is set to take place on May 17. In addition to the Xperia 1 VI, Sony may also introduce the Xperia 10 VI during the same event.
