Seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton was delighted after the Miami GP to see Lando Norris secure his first F1 victory. Hamilton found it even more satisfying that Norris had to triumph over Red Bull and Max Verstappen.
For Lewis Hamilton, achieving his first F1 victory was a momentous occasion, back in 2007 during the Canadian GP. Despite his numerous wins, Hamilton recognizes the significance of his maiden F1 triumph, especially now that he has gone over two years without a win.
Hamilton expressed his joy for Lando Norris, who finally clinched his first F1 victory after coming close several times before.
“I secured my first F1 victory with McLaren, and I am thrilled to see McLaren back on top. Zak Brown and the entire team have done an incredible job,” Hamilton remarked. “I have been with them since I was 13 years old, so I am overjoyed to see them leading the way and outperforming the Red Bulls.”
“I have a good relationship with Lando, and I know what it means to win your first F1 race. It is an incredibly special moment, and I couldn’t be happier for him. I truly hope he savors this triumph because it is a significant milestone.”
