Huawei hosted an event in Dubai today and introduced several of its latest smartbands, a tablet, and two laptops to the international audience. Allow us to introduce you to the Watch Fit 3, which now features a square shape and design strongly reminiscent of the Apple Watch.
The MatePad 11.5″ S PaperMatte tablet also began its international rollout alongside the Matebook X Pro 2024 featuring an Intel Ultra chipset. Additionally, Huawei launched the Matebook 14, powered by 13th generation Core i5/Core i7 CPUs.
The Watch Fit 3 is incredibly lightweight and thin, weighing only 26 grams (without the band) and boasting a profile of just 9.9 mm. The 1.82” AMOLED display has curved edges on all four sides, offering a screen-to-body ratio of 77.4%.
The wearable software resembles that of other Huawei GT smartwatches and offers sleep tracking, breathing awareness, TruSeen 5.5 heart rate monitoring with impressive accuracy, more than 100 activity modes, and over 660 workouts.
An updated feature on the Watch Fit 3 is the Calorie Counter, first introduced in September 2023 on the Watch GT4. Thanks to the new screen, the Watch Fit 3 offers improved UX visuals, a complete design overhaul, rich colors, and enlarged fonts.
Although Huawei doesn’t usually disclose the battery capacity of its wearables, it officially claims that the Watch Fit can last 3 to 10 days on a single charge, with power users getting around 7 days. Unfortunately, the device does not support wireless charging and must be charged with a proprietary puck with two pogo pins.
The Watch Fit 3 is available for pre-order in the UK and Continental Europe starting today, May 7. Retailers will start selling the device in two weeks, on May 22.
