Flitsmeister is launching new subscriptions, which means that some features will no longer be free. Now, you have to pay for Android Auto, among other things.
Flitsmeister Android Auto is no longer free
Flitsmeister, the app that helps you keep track of speed checks, cameras, and dangerous situations on the road, is making some changes. The subscriptions are being partially revamped, which means that some functions that were free before now require payment. In a blog post, Flitsmeister explains that it needs to invest more in the app and the hardware it sells.
The most important change is that Flitsmeister with Android Auto (and Apple CarPlay) is no longer free. Previously, this feature was free, but now you need the Flitsmeister Pro subscription, which costs 2.99 pounds per month. With this subscription, you also get access to the average speed in section checks, which was previously a free feature.
A new subscription, Pro Plus, will be available on May 6. This subscription includes all the features of Pro and the free version of the app, costing 6.99 pounds per month. It also offers additional features like trip registration, speed camera history, and the option to contest traffic fines. If you prefer not to pay, you can still use the free version of the app.
Flitsmeister Dash
Recently, Flitsmeister introduced the Dash: a device with a small, round touchscreen that displays the speed limits and your current speed while providing warnings for speed cameras, speed checks, delays, and hazards on the road. The device operates independently with an eSIM, so it doesn’t require a smartphone.
You can place the Flitsmeister Dash in your car using the supplied holder or in the ventilation grille. It will be available in July for 149.99 pounds and also requires a subscription of 9.99 pounds per month, which includes Flitsmeister Pro and trip registration.
