AndroidHeadlines has recently released a report indicating that Samsung may be gearing up to unveil an Ultra variant of the Galaxy Z Fold6 at the upcoming Unpacked event on July 10. This leak seems to confirm the existence of the Ultra model.
Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra and Z Fold6 model names
The new information reveals a model number – SM-F958Nwhich further supports the notion that this is indeed an Ultra device, as historically all Ultra devices in Samsung’s lineup end with “8”. The internal model name is Q6Abut this detail alone does not provide any additional insights.
Based on Samsung’s typical naming conventions, the SM-F958N model number may suggest limited availability. This model name is usually associated with devices intended for the domestic market, specifically South Korea. Therefore, even if Samsung introduces a Z Fold6 Ultra, it could potentially be exclusive to the South Korean market. This strategy would make sense, considering that a high-end Ultra foldable with upgraded features, especially in the camera department, would likely come with a premium price tag. By limiting production to meet the demand in South Korea, Samsung would be able to focus on delivering a quality product to a specific market.
Although AndroidHeadlines does not disclose their sources, they affirm that the Z Fold6 Ultra will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which aligns with expectations.
