According to ‘The Daily Mail’, the case surrounding Red Bull team boss Christian Horner will enter the next phase in the coming days.
The woman who accuses Christian Horner of inappropriate behavior has filed an official complaint with the FIA and is expected to testify in Shanghai in the days after the race. The Red Bull employee is challenging the first ruling that acquitted Horner of misconduct.
The appeal will be heard by an appellate judge and Horner’s lawyers maintain the woman’s original complaint was dismissed on the grounds of dishonesty on her part.
So far, Christian Horner seems to be in charge of the team that has already dominated the start of this season. Part of the dispute can already be traced back to a power struggle within the parent company between the Austrian and Thai branches. The Austrians want to limit Horner’s power while Thai main shareholder Chalerm Yoovidhya continues to support the British.
The unrest at Red Bull has also caused unrest in Max Verstappen’s camp, but it seems unlikely that the world champion will seek other places. The only reason why he might look elsewhere in the near future is if he has no confidence in the project that Red Bull has set up with Ford to build its own engines from 2026.
In that case, he could terminate his agreement with Red Bull before the end of his contract, which runs until 2028.
