In the run-up to the Miami GP, Max Verstappen has unveiled a special helmet with which he will race during the three American races on the F1 calendar. Verstappen will race with a striking ‘blue helmet design’ in Miami, Austin and Las Vegas.
“This helmet is for the American Grands Prix. This year we tried to do something different. In recent years we have come up with various designs for individual Grands Prix. I thought it would be cool to keep my design the same for all three US Grands Prix this year,” said Verstappen on his official website.
“The best thing about racing in the US is the fans. They are extremely passionate and love motorsport in general, not just Formula 1. We always try to make it a show for everyone and I think they appreciate that. We also get to race on some pretty unique tracks, from street circuits to the amazing circuit in Austin. The country is so big that what you see in Miami is very different from Austin and Las Vegas. It’s really nice to be able to experience more of the country.”
Verstappen is very proud of his ‘blue helmet design’ for the three American races.
“I really like the light blue colors, it looks fresh. The back features the American flag, which is a nice addition. I think it’s a cool design. We have already created many great memories at all the US Grands Prix, from Miami to Austin and Las Vegas. I’m really looking forward to riding on all American circuits with this helmet.”
Something special for the USA this season. Really looking forward to driving with this helmet at all the US Grands Prix
