Max Verstappen dominated the 2023 F1 season in an unprecedented way: 19 victories and his third world title, but that was not enough to win the Laureus award for ‘Sportsman of the Year’. After all, it is tennis player Novak Djokovic who was voted ‘Laureus World Sportsman of The Year’
Novak Djokovic, the number 1 in tennis, won the Australian Open, French Open and US Open last year. In 2022, Max Verstappen won the award after winning his first F1 title in 2021 after an incredible battle with Lewis Hamilton.
