Moondrop has unveiled its first smartphone, the MIAD 01. The name stands for Mobile Internet Audio Device, hinting at the phone’s audio-first focus.

In the teaser image, the back of the phone is shown in white with a striped finish. The camera section is elevated, showcasing a dual camera system along with branding.
The phone advertises the inclusion of dual headphone jacks. While these connectors are not visible in the image, presumably at the unseen top edge of the device, it is confirmed that there is a 4.4mm jack for balanced audio and a 3.5mm jack with single output and microphone support.
Also visible in the image are the power and volume buttons on the right side of the phone, finished in orange to match other highlights on the phone. The phone features flat sides with sharp corners.
The MIAD 01 was first teased in February when a smartphone category suddenly appeared on Moondrop’s website. The page, with the MIAD 01 name and a coming soon sign, remained unchanged at the time of writing. We anticipate the page to be updated with the new teaser image soon.

Moondrop, known for its Chinese audio products, recently ventured into making mechanical keyboards with audiophile-grade sound output. The MIAD 01 seems to follow the same audio-focused approach. While a significant departure from their usual products, we eagerly await more details about this device.
