Belka Games is preparing to immerse itself in the enchanting world of Eastern culture. Clockmaker, the beloved match-three puzzler from the developer, is set to launch a season of events and giveaways inspired by Japan.
Take a look at the artwork above to get a glimpse of what’s to come.
Before we dive into the details, here’s a bit of background on Clockmaker for those unfamiliar with the game.
Set in the picturesque Victorian town of Clocksville, Clockmaker is a casual puzzler with a whimsical backstory involving Emma, the heroine, and the Old Clockmaker, a magical villain who casts Clocksville under an evil spell.
Your task is to free Clocksville by solving numerous matching puzzles.
This involves swapping gems on a grid to match three or more gems of the same color. The larger the cluster of gems you create, the better the boost you’ll unlock to clear even more gems.
This season of the story follows Emma as she enters a Japanese town that is under a spell similar to Clocksville’s.
Additionally, a local game developer named Riguro is shocked to find that his game, Clockmaker, has somehow merged with reality. Together, Emma and Riguro must solve the mystery by matching gems.
Clockmaker’s Japanese adventure commences on April 19th with the Shores of the East event. To participate, complete match-three puzzle stages and earn special tickets to acquire exclusive decorative items.
The Gem-Collecting Tournament starts on April 22nd, challenging you to collect more gems than other players and reach the top of the leaderboard.
Finally, starting on April 25th, you can explore a Temporary Japanese Town where you’ll encounter mysteries, surprises, puzzles, and various Japanese elements.
