Google is rumoured to be launching at least three smartphones at its annual hardware unveiling event in October – the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. There have been recent reports suggesting that the Pixel Fold 2 has been renamed to Pixel 9 Pro Fold and may also be introduced at the event.
The Pixel 9 Pro has now been leaked in hands-on live images, one of which shows it next to an iPhone 15 Pro Max.
If you’re uncertain about the size difference, it’s worth noting that the Pixel 9 Pro XL is reportedly the successor to the Pixel 8 Pro in terms of size, while the Pixel 9 Pro is expected to have similar dimensions to the standard Pixel 9, but with added Pro features such as the periscope telephoto rear camera visible in these photos.

Therefore, the Pixel 9 Pro will also be similar in size to the iPhone 15 Pro. The Pixel 9 Pro comes equipped with the Tensor G4 chipset and 16GB of RAM produced by Micron, which is 4GB more than the Pixel 8 Pro. The UV storage on the Pixel 9 Pro is supplied by Samsung. The Pixel 9 series is also anticipated to feature Samsung’s Exynos Modem 5400 with support for satellite connections.

As previously rumoured, the Pixel 9 Pro will showcase a redesigned camera bump that no longer sports the ‘visor’ style and does not extend to the edges. This time, it has an oval shape, and the metal part is larger at the end where the LED flash is placed. The Pixel 9 Pro also boasts a flat polished frame.
