The Moto E13 was officially announced in January 2023 and went on sale the following month. With this annual release schedule, we are already overdue for a successor. It appears that Motorola is indeed working on the Moto E14, as this model has now entered the necessary certification process before its official launch.
The Moto E14 has been spotted in the TDRA database in the UAE, confirming its name and model number – XT2421-14. Additionally, a TUV Rheinland certification reveals that the phone will feature a battery with a capacity of 4,880 mAh.
Moto E13 from 2023
The phone is marketed with a typical capacity of 5,000 mAh and was tested for certification with 10W, 15W, and 20W adapters. This suggests that it may support 20W wired charging, although it is not guaranteed to include a charger in the box, or if it does, it may not be the fastest one.
These are all the details currently available about the Moto E14. Since certification has started, we expect to learn more soon. For reference, last year’s E13 featured a 6.5-inch 720×1600 LCD touchscreen, Unisoc T606 SoC, 2/4/8GB RAM, 32/64/128GB expandable storage, and a 5000 mAh battery similar to its successor. The E13 supported a maximum charging speed of 10W, so an upgrade to 20W would be significant.
Given these specifications, the E14, like its predecessor, is expected to be a very affordable smartphone upon its release. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
