Well-known Chinese insider Digital Chat Station shared details on the Weibo social network about the upcoming flagship smartphone from vivo, codenamed “Thanos”. Specifically, he discussed the technical characteristics of the new cameras.
According to the source, the main camera of the vivo X100 Ultra will feature a Sony Lytia LYT-900 sensor with a pixel size of 1.6 microns. The standout feature of the device will be a camera with a 200-megapixel Samsung HP9 sensor and a lens with an equivalent focal length of 100 mm. The device is also rumored to have a 200x digital zoom capability. Just like previous vivo smartphones, this model will utilize Zeiss lenses.
It is yet to be confirmed whether the vivo X100 Ultra will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen processor or a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processor, like the vivo X100 Pro. Other rumored specifications include a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 5,400mAh battery supporting 100W fast charging.
The smartphone’s presentation is anticipated in the near future, but no official announcement has been made yet.
