Adobe has announced several new AI tools for Premier Pro that will be of interest to those who frequently use AI tools for video editing. These new tools are powered by Firefly AI. Here is everything you need to know about the latest AI features:
Adobe’s New AI Features for Video Editors
The highlight is the object removal and addition tool. No more green screens or hours of laborious editing! Simply inform Premiere about what you want to remove (e.g., a window in the background or a coffee mug on the table) or what you want to add (like changing clothes, adding props, or a neon sign in the background) with a simple text command.
But that’s not all. Adobe is collaborating with other AI giants to provide even more AI power to Premiere Pro. The company is partnering with OpenAI and Runway to introduce more AI-enhanced editing capabilities. Soon, the software will be able to automatically generate filler footage (B-roll) or extend existing clips by a few seconds for smoother edits.
Additionally, Premiere Pro will also transform text into videos. Describe the scene you need or upload a reference image, and the AI will create the visuals for you.
New AI Features for Audio Editors
Audio editors have not been left behind. The update brings a set of new audio tools to make editing faster and easier, with features like smoother fade adjustments and clearer audio track organization. There will be automatic sound badges and badges for different effects.
Unfortunately, Adobe has not revealed any specific launch date, not even for the beta version of these tools. The company has only stated that these AI-powered video editing tools will be rolled out “this year.”
