The foldable Nubia Flip made an appearance at MWC 2024, where it was revealed that it will be the most affordable foldable phone in international markets. Today, the smartphone is launching in China, where it has an even more attractive starting price of CNY2,999, which is approximately $415.
Nubia Flip 5G
The Nubia Flip is essentially a carbon copy of the ZTE Libero Flip, which was launched in Japan for JPY 63,000 ($420). It features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, a 50 MP main camera, and a 6.9” OLED foldable display. The price in Japan is for the 6/128 GB version, while the base model in China comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

The cover screen is a circular 1.43” display that can be used as a camera viewfinder to take calls, control media playback, display weather, and other basic widgets. The company has stated that its dual-track suspension hinge is able to withstand more than 200,000 unfoldings, which is the industry standard.
The device is equipped with a 4,310 mAh battery with support for 33W wired charging. Color options include Black, Gold, and Pink. There are also upgraded options available – 12/256GB for CNY3,299 ($455), and 12/512GB for CNY3,699 ($510).
