The Google Pixel 8a has been making frequent appearances in the rumor mill lately. Today, we are excited to share a spec sheet with you. Thanks to tipper Yogesh Brar on X, we have the key specs of the upcoming phone, as well as details on pricing and the expected launch window.
According to the leaked information, the Pixel 8a will feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED display with an enhanced 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Tensor G3 will power the 8a, similar to the 8 and 8 Pro models, and it will come with either 128GB or 256GB of storage capacity.
When it comes to the camera setup, users can anticipate the same 64MP OIS main camera and 13MP ultrawide lens as seen on the Pixel 7a, along with a 13MP front-facing selfie camera.
One of the most intriguing details is about the battery. Brar’s page suggests that the Pixel 8a will come with an ‘around’ 4,500mAh battery, a slight increase from the 7a’s 4,385mAh capacity. He also confirms an earlier report stating that the 8a will support 27W wired charging. While there is no mention of wireless charging, the 7a offered 7.5W of wireless charging, so we can expect the 8a to have similar capabilities.
Lastly, the Pixel 8a is expected to launch in May with a price tag ranging from $500 to $550.
