A new Redmi smartphone with the model number 24048RN6CI has acquired Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification. The global variant of this handset, with the model number 24048RN6CG has been spotted on Singapore’s IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority) and Russia’s EEC certification website.
Although these certification listings do not reveal the moniker or specifications of the upcoming handset, GizmoChina reports that the upcoming device is the Redmi A3x. The model number of the device contains the number 2404, which suggests that it could debut in April 2024.
In terms of specifications, there is no confirmed information about the upcoming Redmi A3x. However, it is expected to be a modified version of the existing Redmi A3. The Redmi A3 was launched in February in India and other global markets, powered by a MediaTek Helio G36 processor.
The Redmi A3 offers a 90Hz LCD display with 500nits peak brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery unit and 10W charging support. It features a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers.
