The 2024 season starts with the BDG Motor Show (March 31) and ends with the 24 Hours 2CV (October 19-20). The main events are the 6 Hours in the WEC (9-11 May), the 8 Hours for motorcycles (7-8 June), the centenary of the 24 Hours of Spa (27-30 June), the Formula 1 Grand Prix (July 26-28) and the 4 Hours European Le Mans Series (August 23-25). Three new events appear on the calendar: the Spa Historic Competition-ADAC (August 30/September 1), the 12 Hours Porsche Creventic (September 6-8) and the Porsche Sports Cup (September 14-15).
Some infrastructure works have been carried out at the circuit in the past period. A kilometer-long guardrail has been installed and new entrances have been created. The water drainage has also been improved with new gutters.
More work will follow in the coming months and years. Part of the circuit will be resurfaced for better grip, the layout of the parking lots and campsites will be revised, the old rallycross track will be redesigned as a fan zone and some buildings will be demolished or renovated to enlarge the paddock. The Ferme Foguenne will also be renovated to serve as a reception area.
An investment of 40 million euros has been allocated for these works, spread over five years. The circuit itself will be able to support this financing, thanks to its good management and excellent turnover figures for 2023.
