Spaniard Jorge Prado (GASGAS) won the Spanish Motocross Grand Prix in the MXGP class on Sunday.
At the intu Xanadu circuit in Arroyomolinos, near the capital Madrid, he was the best in both series. Second place went to the Slovenian Tim Gajser (Honda), the Frenchman Romain Febvre (Kawasaki) came third. Dutchman Jeffrey Herlings (KTM) had to settle for fourth place.

In the World Cup standings, reigning world champion Prado leads after two rounds with 114 points, ten more than Gajser.
Jago Geerts (collarbone and elbow fracture) and Brent Van Doninck (thighbone fracture), the two Belgians in the MXGP, both came out of the opening heat in Argentina battered and will be out for a longer period of time. Prado had already won that first World Cup appointment two weeks ago.
Dutchman De Wolf takes victory in MX2, Lucas Coenen finishes fourth ahead of Liam Everts
In the MX2 class, victory went to Kay de Wolf (Husqvarna). The Dutchman won the first series and came second in the second series, behind the Italian Andrea Adamo (KTM), the 2023 world champion. He also had to tolerate the German Simon Langenfelder (GasGas) in the final standings. Lucas Coenen (Husqvarna) was the best Belgian in fourth place. He finished third and fourth in the heats. Liam Everts (KTM) finished fifth, Sacha Coenen (KTM) ninth.

De Wolf also won the Grand Prix in Argentina two weeks ago, the opening heat. Sacha and Lucas Coenen finished eighth and eleventh respectively. Everts missed that appointment due to a broken thumb.
In the World Cup standings, De Wolf leads with 113 points, ahead of Langenfelder (101 pts) and Adamo (82 pts). Lucas Coenen is fourth (75 pts), his brother Sacha (53 pts) eighth and Everts twelfth (41 pts). In two weeks (April 7), the third World Cup round is scheduled to take place in Sardinia, Italy.
