725 kilometers is the official range of the Lucid Air. Then we are talking about the Touring version with 92 kWh. But what is the real reach? So how far will you get if you drive down the highway at 100 km/h (or 130 km/h)? We test that!
At Auto Review we are used to car brands that promise huge ranges for their electric models, but… Lucid set the target very high: 725 kilometers! And those are 'real' WLTP kilometers, not city kilometers. The so-called City Range of the Lucid Air is even 865 kilometers.
Still, the battery with a capacity of 92 kWh is large, but not huge. How does the new American car brand plan to get so far on a single battery charge of electricity? By driving very economically. The electric motors have been developed in-house and Lucid promises “a breakthrough in efficiency”.
