The Poco C51 was launched in April 2023, and it appears that Xiaomi’s sub-brand is now working on its successor, the Poco C61, which may be announced soon. The Poco C61 was recently spotted in the Google Play Console.
The leaked image below shows the upcoming device running Android 14 out of the box, powered by MediaTek’s Helio G36 SoC. Although the chipset remains the same as the C51, we are hopeful that other components have been upgraded.
RAM remains at 4GB, while the phone will feature an LCD screen with a resolution of 720×1650 and a density of 320 ppi. Compared to the C51, the C61 provides an additional 50 vertical pixels.
Although the Google Play Console listing did not reveal any other details, a recent Bluetooth certification indicates that the Poco C61 may essentially be a rebranded Redmi A3, which was launched in February. However, there may be some differences, such as the Poco having a selfie camera hole while the Redmi uses a waterdrop notch.
The Redmi A3 features a 6.71″ display, an 8 MP main camera with a 0.08 MP auxiliary lens, a 5 MP front camera, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W wired charging support. It is likely that the Poco C61 will inherit most, if not all, of these features.
