Apple’s iPhone 15 starts with 128GB of built-in storage, part of which is naturally taken up by iOS and the pre-installed apps. In 2024, you may find that this storage capacity is not really sufficient, or at least not as much as you’d like. But Apple begs to differ.
The company states that the iPhone 15, which again starts at 128 GB, provides “lots of storage for lots of photos” in the description for its latest video ad. Let’s watch the ad below together.
The ad features a catchy soundtrack and a cool concept, and it is executed quite well – we can’t fault the ad for any of those things. It’s just the premise behind it that seems a bit odd. If Apple wants to highlight storage capacity, why not do so with the 1TB iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max?
Advertising storage space for the baseline, entry-level 128GB iPhone 15 seems a bit unusual, don’t you think? What are your thoughts? Is 128 GB really enough to store all your photos? Does it even matter in the age of ubiquitous cloud backup?
