The Formula 1 drivers, led by Max Verstappen, are preparing for the second Formula 1 weekend of the season. The Grand Prix of Saudi Arabia at the Jeddah circuit is – just like last weekend – scheduled for Saturday. An unusual day, again prompted by Ramadan that starts on Sunday.
Red Bull had an excellent start to the new season in the premier class of motorsport. Max Verstappen won in Bahrain and took the fastest lap, while teammate Sergio Pérez secured a one-two.
Verstappen has good memories of the race in Saudi Arabia. “Let's hope we can do something similar there. I'm looking forward to Jeddah, which is a super-fast semi-street circuit, which means less tire wear.”
Pérez won the GP last year, ahead of Verstappen. Also then a one-two for Red Bull. To continue: “It's going to be a bit warmer than in Bahrain, so it's interesting to see what the differences will be between the teams, compared to Bahrain. Moreover, the layout of the circuit is completely different than last week.”
