We recently got our hands on the Honor Magic 6 Lite a few days ago. Priced at €400, this mid-range phone features a 6.78” 1220p class display (10-bit, 120Hz) and a 108MP main camera. While our review is still underway, we wanted to share our initial observations on the battery life.
The Magic6 Lite is outfitted with a 5,300mAh battery that supports 35W fast charging. It is powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip from 2022 (built on Samsung’s 4LPE node). In comparison, the previous model, the Magic5 Lite, had a 5,100mAh battery (40W charging), Snapdragon 695, and a 6.67-inch 1080p-class display.
With an Active Usage Score of 13:08, the Honor Magic 6 Lite delivers impressive performance for a mid-range phone, outperforming the Moto Edge 40 Neo and the Galaxy A54 (both with 5,000mAh batteries) and competing on par with the iPhone 15 (3,349mAh).
If there’s one area of concern, it’s gaming – the battery life lasts for 6:33, which is at the bottom of the scale. This is the first Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 phone we’re reviewing, so we’re curious to see what the Adreno 710 GPU has to offer. However, pairing it with a higher than FHD+ display may have negatively impacted the endurance.
The Magic6 Lite is currently available for purchase on HiHonor.com for €400 for an 8/256GB unit. The package includes a USB-C cable, but in Germany, you have the option to purchase a 66W SuperCharge adapter for €1 (normally worth €30) – more than the phone needs, but can be used for other devices, including laptops. Additionally, you will receive Honor Earbuds X5 and a free screen protector. Please note that the offer in the UK varies, offering a 22.5W charger for £3 or the 66W charger for £9 (worth £18 and £25 respectively).
