Team boss Christian Horner of the Formula 1 team Red Bull Racing was questioned for hours as part of an investigation into possible inappropriate behavior. The racing team remains tight-lipped about the matter.
The energy drink manufacturer and main sponsor of the Formula 1 team had announced an investigation after allegations were made public through the press. Horner, the big man behind the team of Dutch world champion Max Verstappen, spoke with a Red Bull lawyer at a secret location on Friday. According to British media, no decision has yet been made about his future.
The 50-year-old Horner, who has been the team boss of Red Bull Racing since 2005, is said to have been guilty of inappropriate behavior towards one particular team member. An investigation has been launched. Red Bull is not making any announcements about this for the time being.
“It would not be appropriate for us to comment before the investigation has been completed,” a team spokesperson said in a very succinct statement. According to British media, it could take weeks before there is clarity about what will happen to Horner. The new car for the coming season will be presented on Thursday.
