Alpine
While Alpine drove around with a predominantly blue car last season, the French racing team has opted for more black this year, which is not just a choice that can be traced back solely to the design. Black parts are made of carbon and therefore do not need a lick of paint, which reduces the weight (at least). But that is not the only drastic change that the team of drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon implemented. At the presentation we see that a large part of the new car has been overhauled. So Alpine invested the resources, at first glance, in an updated front wing, a different suspension and new ones sidepods.
However, Alpine will not drive their 'standard car' during the first eight (of 24) Grands Prix. Because of their collaboration with BWT – the football fans among you may know the company as a sponsor of Club Brugge – the French will be at the start of certain races next season with a predominantly pink livery. This was also the case last season, during the first three GPs of the championship.

Stake F1 (Sauber)
In recent seasons the team has raced under the flag of Alfa Romeo, from this year onwards as Stake F1 and, as is known, from 2026 as Audi, which will then also become an engine supplier in Formula 1. A major difference with previous years is the remarkable green -black color combination. During certain Grands Prix the racing stable will be called 'Kick F1'. This is because advertising a gambling sponsor is not allowed in some countries.
The C44, as the new Sauber car will be called, will not be an evolved version of the previous car, as team representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi already announced. Drivers Valtteri Bottas and Guanyu Zhou will therefore compete in 2024 with a car that should help them improve on their disappointing ninth place in the constructors' championship last season.

Williams
Like Sauber, Williams also presented the new car on February 5. The FW46 is predominantly blue and, according to the team, is a tribute to the rich past of the British racing stable. Williams is known among younger Formula 1 fans as a rear-guard team, but achieved many successes in the last century. With 114 Grand Prix victories and seven world titles, the team, currently led by James Vowles, is one of the most renowned teams on the grid.
The new car may look very similar to last year's, but at Williams they hope that the new car will provide even better results. The team from Grove is making strong progress and hopes to continue its upward trend. With Alexander Albon in one of the cars, that shouldn't be a problem. The British Thai, once Max Verstappen's teammate at Red Bull Racing, is the undisputed leader at Williams and could end up at one of the top teams in the future. His teammate, Logan Sargeant, must do better next season and convince his bosses that he is good enough for Formula 1.

Haas
Haas was the worst performing team in Formula 1 last year and a major upgrade of the car in Austin was disappointing. Team boss Günther Steiner was the victim. The Japanese Ayao Komatsu is his successor. During the presentation of the car, he was realistic about the team's starting position. “When we race in Bahrain I think we will still be one of the teams at the back of the grid, if not the last team.”
For the American racing team, solving the high tire wear last season was the top priority with a view to 2024. Whether the VF-24 'eats' the tires to a lesser extent than its predecessor remains to be seen.
