The Galaxy S24 – Samsung’s 2024 compact flagship offering – is the latest phone to undergo our battery test cycle. Despite being the smallest S-series phone this year, it managed an impressive 12:07 hours of active usage with its 4,000 mAh battery, surpassing its predecessor. Our review unit is powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2400 chip, and we hope to compare it with a Snapdragon unit in the future.
Breaking down the scores by category, the S24 posted a 23:26-hour talk-time endurance, which falls short of the Galaxy S23 and S23 FE models. The browser test revealed a 9:46 hour runtime, slightly better than last year’s model.
Video playback endurance showed a significant improvement with a total of 17:46 hours – almost 4 hours more than the Galaxy S23, and surpassing the S23 FE and Google’s Pixel 8. Gaming endurance also saw a slight increase to 7:34 hours, showcasing a commendable performance from Samsung’s latest compact flagship offering.
