Friday (December 29) will be exactly ten years ago that Michael Schumacher suffered a serious brain injury in a skiing accident. His brother Ralf still lives with the consequences of that dramatic day, he tells Bild.

“I miss my Michael from back then. Life isn’t fair sometimes. Michael was lucky many times during his life, but then that tragic accident happened. Fortunately, thanks to modern medicine, a lot is possible, but nothing is the same as before,” says 48-year-old Schumacher about his older brother.
Michael Schumacher suffered serious brain damage in a fall during a skiing holiday in the French Alps. The seven-time Formula 1 world champion hit a stone with his head, after which his helmet broke. Since the accident, “Schumi,” who will soon turn 55, has not appeared in public.
After the crash, Schumacher fought for his life for days in a hospital in Grenoble and was in an induced coma for a long time. How he is doing today is a big question mark. The former F1 champion is kept out of the media by his family. His brother Ralf also does not want to give details in Bild. “I can say for myself that his accident was also a very unpleasant and traumatic event for me,” he added.
