In September, Polestar announced its plans to launch a Meizu-made smartphone to complement its growing fleet of electric vehicles. Now, we have our first look at the device. The company teased Polestar Phone’s design during its first Polestar Day event.
The phone features the signature Meizu design language seen on the Meizu 20 series, with a flat metal frame and three camera modules housed in individual camera rings. A close-up of the video revealed that we’re looking at a 23mm-equivalent main camera with an nf/1.9 aperture, along with a 70mm telephoto (f/2.0) and a 15mm ultra-wide lens with an nf/2.4 aperture.

Polestar Phone also brings a flat screen with a punch hole cutout for the selfie camera. The sides have Polestar branding while the rear has the company logo.
One of the more interesting bits is how Polestar will integrate its upcoming phone with its cars. Meizu, which is owned by the same parent company Geely, has its own Flyme Auto car software. However, reports from China suggest that the Polestar Phone could offer a Polestar OS interface that was probably developed in collaboration with Meizu.
The device is being billed as a flagship phone, which means we should expect to see Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, lots of RAM, and some form of fast charging as well. Polestar Phone is rumored to be exclusive to China, but we’ll have to wait for more details and an official launch before jumping to conclusions.
