Reynvoet was initially in second place, but the leader in the BRC successfully challenged his KP10 time with the RACB sports committee.
Coup de théâtre after the Season Rally when late on Saturday evening Niels Reynvoet was declared the winner and Maxime Potty was put back to second place.
The reason was the time that Niels Reynvoet had driven during KP 10. His self-measured time was four seconds faster than that of the organizer. Reynvoet raised the problem before the end of the match. After the match, the sports commissioners met. At 9:44 PM they published their decision. “After analyzing the tracking system (Art. 18.2 BRC National) and analyzing the video and data of car number 2, it is decided: revision of the time 5:57:20.”
Reynvoet celebrates his third consecutive victory in the BRC in Bocholt. He previously won the TAC Rally and the Rally of Wallonia. He increases his lead in the BRC standings.
The next BRC round is the Ypres Rally at the end of June.
