27-year-old Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati) won the Grand Prix of Catalonia in the MotoGP class on Sunday. It is his third victory of the season.

At the Montmelo circuit near Barcelona, the two-time and reigning world champion defeated Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati-Pramac), the leader in the World Cup standings.
Marc Marquez (Ducati-Gresini), another Spaniard, completed the podium of this sixth World Cup round.
The next GP is scheduled for next weekend in Florence, Italy.

Baltus finishes 22nd in Moto2
Barry Baltus finished 22nd on Sunday in the Grand Prix of Catalonia in Moto2. The Japanese Ai Ogura took victory at the Montmelo circuit near Barcelona.
Baltus could not qualify for Q2 in the qualifications on Saturday and had to start from 30th position. The RW Racing GP pilot was able to move up eight positions in the race. Ogura won ahead of his Spanish teammate at MT Helmets-MSI Sergio Garcia. Briton Jake Dixon (CFMOTO Aspar Team) completed the podium.
Garcia consolidated his leading position in the World Cup with 108 points. Baltus is fourteenth with 23 points.
