The Galaxy Watch is set to experience a significant improvement in performance and efficiency, thanks to a new Exynos W1000 chipset, as reported from Korea.
The SoC is reportedly built on Samsung’s second-gen 3nm node – the SF3 – and marks a substantial advancement over the 5nm W930 in the current generation Galaxy Watch5.
Shifting focus from Samsung’s smartwatch line to Apple, the Exynos W1000 represents a major upgrade over the 5nm S9 processor.
Reports strongly indicate that Samsung is preparing three new smartwatch models. Whether they will be affordable (FE option), regular, and Pro models is not clear, but it seems most likely. Anticipate features like blood sugar monitoring, 32GB storage, and a larger battery in the Pro model.
Samsung is expected to unveil the new Galaxy Watch7 models alongside the new Galaxy Z series around July 10, just in time to showcase the new models at the 2024 Summer Olympics commencing on July 26.
