Motorola is set to unveil the next generation of its high-end foldable smartphone soon. It will be known as the Razr 50 Ultra globally and as the Razr+ 2024 in the US. Following a price leak for the EU last week, the phone’s complete specs have now been leaked by a typically reliable source, so let’s dive into it.
The Razr 50 Ultra / Razr+ 2024 is rumored to feature a 6.9-inch 1080×2640 POLED infolding display, a 3.6-inch bezel-less display, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC as the processor, 12GB of RAM, and a minimum of 256GB of storage with an option for 512GB.
The phone will sport a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP 2x optical zoom telephoto camera, and a 32 MP selfie camera. It will be IPX8 certified for water resistance and will include a 4,000 mAh battery.
Running on Android 14, the phone will also feature a fingerprint scanner. It will be available in Midnight Blue, Spring Green, and Hot Pink in some markets, with Motorola’s Pantone-approved Peach Fuzz color range expected in others as well.
The Razr+ 2024 will launch in the US in June for $999, the same price as its predecessor but with an additional 4GB of RAM for the same price. Reports suggest it will be priced similarly to the Razr 40 Ultra in the EU as well.
If the Razr 50 Ultra does make its way to the market, it is expected to be priced at £799 in the UK, the starting price for the Razr 40 Ultra in 2023.
