The Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro, and Xiaomi 14 Ultra will soon welcome a new addition to the series, according to a leak from a reliable source. The newest member, the Xiaomi 14 SE, is expected to launch in India in June.
It is anticipated to be priced under INR 50,000 ($599 or €560 at current exchange rates). Unfortunately, the details of the phone’s specifications were not disclosed by the source, leaving us uncertain about what features to expect in exchange for this price.
Xiaomi Citizen 4 Pro
The 14 SE is rumored to be a rebranded version of the Civi 4 Pro, launched in China recently with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. However, it’s essential to note that this claim appears to be speculative rather than based on confirmed information.
If the 14 SE does turn out to be a rebranded Civi 4 Pro (which wouldn’t be surprising given Xiaomi’s past practices), we can anticipate a device featuring a 6.55-inch 1236×2750 120 Hz AMOLED touchscreen display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The device may offer 12/16 GB of RAM, 256/512 GB of storage, a triple rear camera setup (50 MP main with OIS, 12 MP ultra-wide, 50 MP 2x telephoto), a dual front camera system (32 MP main, 32 MP ultra-wide), and a 4,700 mAh battery with 67W wired charging support.
Expected to run Android 14 with HyperOS 1.0, the purpose and target audience for this device remain unclear based on the specifications. Perhaps Xiaomi is harkening back to the “Lite” models of the past with the Xiaomi 14 SE, offering slightly fewer specifications while still being considered part of the flagship family.
