Despite not being top of mind for many, HTC remains one of the original Android smartphone manufacturers and is still available, albeit rare. In May of last year, HTC launched the U23 Pro, and now it appears that a successor to that device, likely named the U24 Pro, is in the works (given that the numbers in these names typically signify the year of release similar to Samsung’s S series).
The HTC U24 Pro has made an appearance in the Google Play Console, a sign that an official launch is likely just a few weeks away. It was also recently spotted in the Geekbench online database and has already received certification from the Bluetooth SIG.
The HTC U24 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC and will be offered with 12GB of RAM in one variant (potentially more options available). It will feature a screen with a 1080×2436 resolution and a pixel density of 480ppi. Additionally, it will run Android 14 right out of the box.
The Play Console listing includes an image of the phone, showcasing a curved display with a centered punch hole for the selfie camera. The power and volume buttons are located on the right side. The recent Bluetooth certification confirms that the device supports version 5.3 of the standard.
These are all the details that have been released thus far. If the U24 Pro follows the same release timeline as its predecessor, we can expect more leaks and rumors in the upcoming months, so stay tuned for further updates.
