Google has filed a patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the name RealFill in the application area of generative AI. The new AI is expected to be an improved version of Magic Eraser. It has been noted that the function will work in the cloud, which may result in slow operation and related issues.
Insiders believe that RealFill can be used to artificially restore photos with blurred, missing, or damaged areas. The patent application was filed on April 10, 2024, so the release of the new AI may not happen soon.
The Release Date of New OPPO Devices Has Been Announced
Insider Digital Chat Station has announced the approximate release date of several new OPPO devices: Reno12 and 12 Pro smartphones, Pad 3 tablet, and Enco X3 headphones. According to the informant, the presentation event is scheduled for late May or early June. Previously, the characteristics of the Reno12 and 12 Pro smartphones, as well as the flagship Pad 3 tablet, were leaked online.
Intel Is Preparing to Release a Successor to the “People’s” Core i5-14400F
According to the Wccftech portal, Intel is working on processors of the Intel Core Ultra 200 family. The first chip in the new line should be the Ultra 5 240F, which will replace the Intel Core i5-14400F and, according to rumors, will have the following characteristics:
- Two versions: 24 and 14 cores, where the first version has 8 Lion Cove cores and 16 Crestmont cores, and the second version has 6 Lion Cove cores and 8 Crestmont cores
- L2 cache: 3 MB
- Supported memory: DDR5-6400
- No integrated graphics
The top version of this series should be called Core Ultra 9 290K, but its specifications have not yet been announced. The release of new processors may take place on June 4-7 at Computex 2024, and sales will start in the second half of the year.
