Earlier this month, Oppo unveiled the A3 Pro, which will soon be followed by a vanilla model. The Oppo A3 (PJT110) has just cleared TENAA, revealing some details about the upcoming phone.
Equipped with a 6.67” 1080p+ AMOLED display, it measures 162.9 x 75.6 x 8.1mm and weighs 191g. The Pro model is slimmer (7.5-7.9 mm) and lighter (177 g or 182 g, depending on the color).
The extra thickness and weight can be explained by the battery, which should have a typical capacity of 5,500 mAh, 500 mAh more than the Pro. However, the maximum charging rate is only half at 33W (compared to 67W for the Pro).
Oppo A3 (PJT110) specifications from TENAA
According to TENAA, the Oppo A3 will have a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP auxiliary on the back, plus a 16MP selfie on the front. In comparison, the Pro has a combination of 64+2MP on the back and 8MP on the front.
We don’t know which chipset will be used for the A3 (the Pro has a Dimensity 7050). We do know that there will be multiple configurations with 8/12GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB of storage. Unlike its sibling, this model will also have a microSD slot.
Unfortunately, TENAA has yet to post pictures of the Oppo A3 and we don’t even have 3D renderings to go on. Considering the A2 and A2 Pro look very different, we don’t think the A3 Pro design is any indication of the regular A3. The A2 and A2 Pro were also launched more than a month apart.
