know that some people will hold a grudge and use dirty tricks to try and damage my reputation. But I will always defend myself with the truth and the support of those who know me well.”
Ben Sulayem also addressed the issue of influence in sports, stating that it is a common practice in many areas, not just in Formula 1.
“Influence is not a bad thing. It all depends on how it is used,” he said. “Those who know me know that I have always fought against injustice and stood up for what is right. I will continue to do so no matter what challenges I face.”
As a former rally driver and the first Arab president of the FIA, Ben Sulayem has faced many challenges throughout his career. He has always been a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion in motorsport, and he believes that his actions speak louder than any accusations made against him.
“I have always been a fighter, and I will continue to fight for what I believe in,” he said. “I have broken barriers and paved the way for others to follow. I am proud of my achievements and I will not let anyone tarnish my legacy.”
Despite the challenges he has faced, Ben Sulayem remains focused on his goals and his vision for the future of motorsport.
“I have a clear vision of where I want to take the FIA and the sport of motorsport as a whole,” he said. “I will not let anyone distract me from that goal. I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that the sport is fair, transparent, and accessible to all.”
While the accusations against him may have caused some turmoil, Ben Sulayem remains confident in his innocence and his ability to lead the FIA forward.
“Those who know me know that I am a man of integrity and honesty,” he said. “I have always been true to my word and I will not let anyone tarnish my reputation. I will continue to lead the FIA with integrity and professionalism, and I will not let anything stand in the way of progress.”
As the president of the FIA, Ben Sulayem is committed to upholding the values of the organization and ensuring that motorsport remains a fair and competitive sport for all participants.
“I will not let anyone bring me down because I know who I am and what I stand for,” he said. “I will continue to fight for justice and fairness in the sport, and I will not let anyone derail my efforts to make the FIA better for everyone involved.”
