Aniplex has just revealed a new Madoka Magica game, Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Magia Exedra. Yes, you heard it right, they are bringing the magic of Madoka Magica to life once again in the form of a game. Are you a fan of the anime like me? Then, keep reading!
What Will The Game Be About?
Don’t get too impatient because we don’t have all the details just yet. But we do know that the developers are aiming to release the new Madoka Magica game in Japan sometime in 2024. This time, Pokelabo and f4samurai are handling the development.
Pokelabo and f4samurai have a strong track record with hit mobile games in Japan. Titles like Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, Assault Lily Last Bullet W (which has recently opened for pre-registrations globally, check it out here) and SINoALICE have been successful ventures for them.
Based on the sneak peeks available on the official site of the new Madoka Magica game, it appears that players will be able to explore the magical world of Magica even further. Additionally, there is a glimpse of a new green Kyubey at the bottom. All the Kyubeys we have seen before were pink and white, so what could be the story behind this new color? I guess we will have to wait a few more months to find out.
Don’t Know Who Madoka Is?
For those unfamiliar with it, Puella Magi Madoka Magica is a popular Japanese anime series that first aired in 2011. Created by Magica Quartet and animated by Shaft, the story spans 12 episodes and has been adapted into movies, manga, and games.
Set in the city of Mitakihara, the story follows a group of middle school girls who make supernatural contracts to gain magical powers. The main character is Madoka Kaname, and we also meet other characters like her best friend, Sayaka Miki. Together, these girls battle witches and surreal enemies.
