Huawei has revealed the Pura 70 series, the latest addition to their revamped P series. The series includes four phones – the Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+, and the Pura 70 Ultra. One standout feature of these phones is the triangular camera island design. They are all powered by Huawei’s new Kirin 9010 chipset and come with variable aperture lenses on their main cameras. The Pura 70 and 70 Pro/Pro+ models feature a 50MP 1/1.3″ main camera, while the Ultra model boasts a 50MP 1″ type main camera with a retractable lens. These devices will first launch in China, with most of them becoming available from April 22. The Pura 70 Ultra will be released later this month.
Motorola has unveiled the Edge 50 Ultra and made the Edge 50 Pro available globally. The Ultra model offers a unique real wood option along with two vegan leather colors – Forest Gray and Peach Fuzz, which is Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2024. Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, the Edge 50 Ultra features a 50MP 1/1.3″ main sensor and a 3x 72mm periscope with a 64MP sensor and bright f/2.4 aperture.
The Motorola Edge 50 Ultra will be released in select European countries in the coming weeks, with a starting price of €1,000. It will also launch in Asia, Latin America, and Oceania. The Edge 50 Pro will be available in select European markets for €700.
Reports suggest that Google will not be naming its next foldable device the Fold 2, but instead, will go with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. This new device is expected to make its debut at Google’s annual hardware unveiling event in October, rather than at Google I/O in May like its predecessor. Along with the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Google is anticipated to unveil the Pixel 9, the Pixel 9 Pro, and the Pixel 9 Pro XL.
