Huawei’s Watch 4 Pro was launched back in June and now the company is introducing a special Space Exploration edition which is currently available for pre-order in China with a scheduled release date of April 12.
Priced at CNY 4,999 (equivalent to around $691 or €637), this special edition timepiece takes design inspiration from space-bound rockets. It boasts a ceramic bezel and sapphire glass with a diamond-like coating, providing double the strength of regular glass for enhanced durability against damage.
The watch comes equipped with a titanium bracelet and supports Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology. It offers convenient touchless access to the Aito M9 car, a vehicle co-developed by Huawei, automatically unlocking when the wearer is within an 8-meter radius.
Through the watch, users can control various functions of the car using voice commands, such as opening windows or the trunk, and checking the vehicle’s status via the Aito app on the watch. There is also a customized Aito watch available for personalization.
The Watch 4 Pro Space Exploration edition features an eSIM that enables users to make calls directly from the watch without needing their smartphone nearby. It boasts an impressive array of 13 health indicators providing a more accurate health assessment compared to other smartwatches on the market.
This special edition timepiece offers 5ATM/50m water resistance, measures 49.1mm in length, 12.9mm in thickness, and weighs just 68g. The display is a vibrant 1.5-inch 466×466 AMOLED screen. It is compatible with smartphones running Huawei’s HarmonyOS 2.0 and above, Android 8.0 and above, as well as iOS 13 and above. The battery life is claimed to last up to 4.5 days in normal usage mode and can extend up to an impressive 21 days in battery saver mode.
