iQOO recently completed four years in India, and to celebrate the milestone, iQOO’s Indian branch launched the iQOO 12 Anniversary Edition. We had the opportunity to get our hands on one, so let’s dive into its features.
The iQOO 12 Anniversary Edition comes in Desert Red color, packaged similarly to the iQOO 12’s Legend and Alpha models. The package includes a protective case, a SIM eject tool, a charging cable, and a 120W power adapter.
While the iQOO 12’s Legend and Alpha versions sport glass back panels, the Anniversary Edition features a faux leather finish. This finish not only enhances the device’s tactile feel but also prevents fingerprint smudges and improves grip.
iQOO claims that the new leather rubbing process used on the back cover of the iQOO 12 Anniversary Edition creates a unique wind-printed texture reminiscent of a desert. The metallic effect on the iQOO logo adds a touch of sophistication, coupled with its etched design on the panel.
This new finish has also made the Anniversary Edition 5.2g lighter than the regular version of the phone.
iQOO 12 Anniversary Edition • iQOO 12 Legend • iQOO 12 Alpha
Setting aside these differences, the iQOO 12 Anniversary Edition retains the same features as the Legend and Alpha models. This means you can expect the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, a 6.78″ 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging support.
At the camera front, the smartphone houses a 16MP selfie camera and a triple camera setup on the back, consisting of 50MP primary, 50MP ultra-wide, and 64MP periscope telephoto lenses. It also includes features like an in-display fingerprint scanner, NFC, and stereo speakers.
Pricing remains consistent, at INR52,999 (£515) for the 12GB/256GB model and INR57,999 (£565) for the 16GB/512GB version. The Anniversary Edition will be available for purchase in India starting April 9 through iQOO’s official Indian website and Amazon.in.
