Motorola is introducing a new chapter in its smartphone lineup with the launch of the Edge 50 Pro. This premium upper mid-range offering features the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, a 1220p AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and a capable triple camera setup.
The Edge 50 Pro boasts a curved 6.7-inch POLED display with 1220p resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel has a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits and is the first smartphone to feature Pantone-validated colors for more accurate real-life colors and skin tones. Additionally, the display includes a 50 MP front-facing camera with autofocus and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main camera with an f/1.4 aperture and OIS, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultra-wide lens that also serves as a macro camera. The Edge 50 Pro is equipped with the AI Photo Enhancement Engine, offering optimizations for motion capture and color segmentation.

On the software side, the Edge 50 Pro features Motorola’s new HelloUX interface based on Android 14, introducing generative AI features for custom backgrounds. It is also the first phone to support Motorola Smart Connect, a set of continuity features that work across Motorola and Lenovo smartphones, tablets, and computers, offering support for external displays and data synchronization.

The Edge 50 Pro is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It is also IP68 rated for water and dust resistance.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro comes in black and lavender colors as standard. Additionally, there is a limited Moonlight Pearl edition designed by the Italian design house Mazzucchelli 1849.
Prices start at INR 31,999 ($383) for the 8/256 GB variant, going up to INR 35,999 ($431) for the 12/256 GB version. Open sales in India will begin on April 9, with the Moonlight Pearl Edition launching on April 8 at 7:00 PM Indian Time.
