The Xiaomi Watch 2 is now official, but you won’t find it on Xiaomi’s website. It is available for pre-order on Amazon in Germany and Italy.
Here are the links for Germany, where it is available in both black and silver. Keep in mind that the watch will be released on February 25th, so you can expect it to arrive around March 1-4.
And here are the links for Italy. The Black version is not currently available. Italy gets it a day early with a release scheduled for February 24th.
The Xiaomi Watch 2 should be available in other countries, but it’s quite hard to find. Searching for it brings up a bunch of Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro results. If you’re considering the Pro, we’ve seen the Bluetooth version for €230, even below €220 in some places. Not having an LTE option is one of the main differences between the Watch 2 and Watch 2 Pro.
There are more differences. The Pro is made of stainless steel, whereas this one has an aluminum body. The Watch 2 has the same 1.43″ 466 x 466px AMOLED display and the same Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chipset (with Wear OS). There’s a GPS receiver, heart rate and SpO2 monitoring, and a 5 ATM water resistance rating.
Belgian store Selexion also has the Xiaomi Watch 2 for €200. Amazon BE has the Pro for €220 for the Bluetooth model and €250 for the LTE one. This was one of the sites that was ahead of the official announcement and published their Watch 2 pages. Given how messy Xiaomi handled this, it’s no surprise that there was some confusion.
Anyway, Xiaomi has bigger announcements today – stay tuned for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra announcement.
